  1. Add the ability to «Click here to create a new Requirement / test»:
It's possible to create a new Requirement or test with the relevant value in the fields automatically if we create it from the boutton «Click here to create a new Requirement / test». And it's possible to always keep the button «Click here to create a new Requirement / test» at the top of each filter page ?

  2. The user should able to reorder the Test Cases for a project in the Test Library.

    My requirement:
    I have 3 tests,
    Test 1, Test 2, Test 3

They are created in some order say, Test 1, Test 2 , & then Test 3,

But my Test 3 is the continuation of Test 1, what I actually meant is Test 3 will start from where I ended in Test 1.

So, I want my tests to be in the below order:

    Test 1
    Test 3
    Test 2

I tried several ways to reorder the tests but nothing worked.

    Some of…

  5. Have the ability to rename the system generated Test Case ID or allow this field to be "hidden". We use our own Test Case numbers and this is confusing for the testers to have two number fields.

  6. PractiTest is rather click-heavy.
One way to reduce this would be to allow multiple steps to be added quickly. A data entry field before the Add Step link allowing the user to provide a number of steps to be added would be a simple fix. Default this to 1 and existing behaviour remains. If the user enters 23, then 23 new blank lines are added/inserted. This will facilitate faster/less disrupted test case writing.

As the user may then over estimate the number of blank steps required, an option to Delete all blank steps would be a complimentary click reducing feature.

  7. Sometimes we include the same test case a couple of times in one test set, but with different parameters. Unfortunately now we must edit those parameters one by one - and this is a lot of clicking.
    I can see 2 solutions:
    1) Allow modifying parameters directly in test set table
    2) On parameters screen differentiate parameters by test case instance/number

    Hi Kamil,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Please note that you can set parameters on the Test Instances grid, where you can choose more than one instance to set parameters for.

Please let us know if this helps or you are looking for something else.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  9. I am exploring the open source Automation tool Katalon Studio for automating test cases for mobile and web applications. I would greatly appreciate if Practitest can provide 2 way integration with this tool.

  12. The test execution progress graph is a real good tool, giving clear info on a project progress status.
For now the time period of this graph is fixed to 28 days.
Being able to customize this X-axe would be very useful to study the reasons of slowliness in a project afterwards, for instance.

  13. This was suggested earlier and set to completed, but from the comments it seems to have been completed on the Call to Test feature, not linking issues.
There is the ability to see related issues within PractiTest but not link them. This would be a useful feature to highlight related issues, and generally used where one is superseded by another

    Hi,

This will be resolved once we replace the old grid, we are planning to do that in the near future.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  17. My test cases are named based upon area of application. So when adding to the test set I am manually sorting through 50+ test cases per section which I need in chronological order for execution. The ability to sort test cases alphanumerically when adding so I can add them in order by section would be huge for me and my team.

    Hi Przemek,

    Thank you for your request.

Kindly note that Test Name includes spellcheck of the browser you are using.

That’s correct that browser spellcheck is not available in the Description field since Markdown doesn’t support it, but we are working on this issue and will keep you updated.

    Thanks again.
    Christine

  20. Dashboards and reports should be able to be created to report on multiple projects. If an organization is able to report on all the activity within Practitest, it will allow Executive Leadership the ability to see the entire workload of what is being processed via Practitest.

It really will show the immense activity accomplished during testing as a whole.
