  2. The "Call steps from another test" feature works well for testing a matrix of parameter values. However it doesn't allow for passing in static, never changing values to called tests for the sole purpose of re-usable script steps and provide a single point of change (aka single point of maintenance).

    For example:
    * You have an portal based site which has several "apps" or sub-sites.
    * When a user logs into the portal the get presented with a dashboard page with links to each of apps.

Ideally the tester would be able to create a single login script that can…

  3. We are struggling with getting the result we are after using Search even with all the new filtering options available. We have tried filters and reports but they are all IS or IS NOT vs Contains. In a support chat, using Tags was recommended to us and we are trying it but we cannot display the "Tags" column to the Test Library view; it's not available. This would be incredibly helpful to us if this were added. Thank you.

  4. Some results of a step are so important you need to be sure the tester have described the result. By do it possible to make this field mandatory you can manage this situation.

  6. Set requirement filters when importing from Jira
The ability to set filters on requirements when importing from Jira. Currently a new requirement/s can be imported from jira. The requirement/s join a large list of requirements until the user selects and completes a batch edit on the requirement/s to assign filters. Using filters in the requirement tree allows for quick location of all requirements relating to the filter. I propose that practi-test gives you the option to set the filters when importing. improve the import screen to provide a screen similar to the batch edit when importing allowing the user to…

  7. Currently, the system returns you to the 1st page of Test Sets regardless. This is a bit annoying if you are working through them and have to keep reselecting the page.

  12. In a TestSet I would like to have an extra column indicating the number of times a Test has been run; occurences.
When Test case fails, an issue is linked to it but when the issue is resolved and the Test case passes the test, there is no way to see it was failed and ran several times. With this number of occurence you would potentially see that the Test Case was failed one or several times and that issues were linked. No need to enter all the TC 1 by 1.

  17. We purchased PractiTest with the assumption there is a one way integration with Assembla. We have had to turn this off as it creates more manual work for our team.

    Please could you address:
-When Assembla ticket is updated so is PractiTest
-Show Issues that have been created and linked to Assembla

  19. I need to create calendar period reports for management. It would be very useful if we had Last Calendar Week, This Calendar Week, Last Calendar Month, This Calendar Month, This Year, Last Year, etc. as options for filtering. Currently, you need to do this as a range of dates each time.

  20. It would be great if while we are creating tickets via e-mail, we would be able to assign them to specific support group or selected colleagues. We could have template that requester has to fill in, for example with name of person they want to assign it to. Then during ticket creation Practi Test would would automatically generate ticket for mentioned person.I believe it will greatly improve response time for users who are contacting their support via e-mail via Practi Test. It will also decrease amount of time spent on sorting tickets and re-assigning them to correct people.
