  1. When editing a testset usually you have to navigate through a number of test listing pages of a specific view you have already selected. When you are doing this, the most comfortable setting is to hide the views box because the box is only taking space you need to fully read the tests names. However, each time you change between pages, the views box is made visible again (which is very annoying). I propose you keep the state of the views box when the page is changed. If it is hidden, then it should stay hidden until you need it…

  2. How do you clone one test? Currently you have to (1) do a search, (2) identify the ID of the test, (3) then go to the test library, (4) navigate to the page where the test can be found and (5) clone the test. Please mind that step 4 may involve trying several pages before you hit the one where the test is listed. This is not very practical. Therefore I propose that a "Clone this test" link or button is added to two places:
    1. The search results page and;
    2. The General tab of the test editing screen.

    Hi Paulo,
    I wanted to update you about the process of your request,
    as now cloning a test is available directly from the Test edit screen.
    In order to do it, click on the test and there by clicking on the ‘Actions’ button → ‘Clone’, the test will be cloned and the browser will redirect to the new cloned test edit screen.
    About this option on the search results page, it’s still under review, we follow the demand of it from our customers and will keep you updated.

    Best regards,
    Itai

  4. When you assign a priority or severity to an issue it is important to know the definition of the categories (high, medium etc.). These could be different for each project. Could we have the facility to put some explanatory notice onto the screen where you log an issue? Perhaps it could be a type of project field (similar to memo) but with default text that is set up by the administrator and cannot be changed by the user. Even better would be to have something to click on (like a help symbol) to pop up the definition.

  6. It is possible to indicate if a test is blocked but it would also be really handy to be able to unblock a test when the obstacle has been removed. We could then see clearly the tests that are able to be run.

  9. Add more filtering options like: "has"(If a searched text is a part of the entire text), "greater\ less than"(for integers), "Doesn't have"(same as the "has" but the opposite), etc.

  10. I want to set up a view of requirements to show just the detailed requirements (those that have a parent) and not the high level ones. This could be done in a view if it were possible to say parent is not empty. However, the parent field is not available when defining a view.

  11. The requirements status field shows if requirements are linked to tests. However, it doesn't show if they are linked to tests with status of ready rather than draft. If we had a field for this (perhaps requirements coverage status) we could see clearly how many requirements were linked to properly specified tests. The field could have values 'tests - ready', 'tests - draft' on 'no tests'.

  13. For custom field use, add more field formats such as:
    * time (hh:mm)
    * External Link (URL)
    * Multiple hierarchy levels in a linked list and not just one parent-child (also grandchildren etc)
    *link other data types to a parent list
    (eg: if you select A from parent list then a text field appears instead of only a child list)

  16. We would like our customers to have a filtered list of new features or defects that we are currently working on. We would like to have a RSS or XML feed out of PractiTest that we could take and display like a dashboard on our corporate website.

  18. Add ability to define a step as a non-critical step, and thus a failure on this step would not fail the test.
