  1. Dependently visible custom fields

    Like dependent lists it would be good to have custom fields that only appear (are visible) if an item is selected in a list. This reduces the number of custom fields that the user needs to select.

    For example, if the selection in a list is "other" make a text field visible to enter the custom whatever. Otherwise show a dependent list.

  2. Be able to upload attachments via API when sending results from automated testing

    Sending results directly from the API right after an execution of a test ends would be useful to have more information about each test run.

    Eg using selenium+python, you first create a junit xml report after the execution and then post it to PractiTest through the API request, so that you won't have to add it manually yourself.

  3. Make the 'Save & Close' option default per account

    At the moment the 'Save Changes' option is a default one, we would like to have the 'Save & Close' as default within our account. Can you add an option to enable this per account?

  6. Provide templates to save criteria for future use

    I would like to be able to save criteria/views, etc.s throughout the application. When I create a filter for projects I select the same criteria for each filter I create. I would like the ability to save it, so I do not have to select the fields each time. The same for the column views on instances and the fields selected for reports. This also would need to available across projects.

  8. provide the ability to create a subtask inside JIRA to the JIRA associated with the test case

    When we find an issue testing for a specific JIRA we create subtasks under that jira. Practitest is creating new JIRA but not subtasks so we have to go back in and update each JIRA to assign it correctly. This should be an option in configuration.

  11. Auto save Assigner when "Run Now" on TestSet

    On Test Set view there is an option to assign to specific Tester. In order to do it you need to choose Tester and Save view. So if you want to run a test set you need to: 1. assign it to yourself 2. save 3. run. I think step 3 is not needed. Run Now could also save changes or at least Assigner.

  13. Allow import of test author from old test when cloning a test

    When there is a problem / something unclear with a test, the author is addressed for explanation.
    The author is not conserved when cloning tests (example - when moving tests from one project to another), causing a lot of confusion as to who should receive the questions. The cloner is listed as the author.
    When cloning tests, i can choose which attributes of the test i want to import to the cloned test (version, status, componenet, etc). Author is listed but cannot be selected. Please add the ability to import that as well.

  15. Add defect search functionality to Add Existing Issue to Test flow

    When linking a defect to an executed (failed) test, you do not always remember the defect ID. This is an annoying way to currently link defects.
    On the link existing issue step, it would help greatly if we could bring up a list of all defects and be able to sort and search them by date/title/description.

  16. Make the Folder name field active when a user is creating a new folder.

    When I was setting up test folder, I would click on the + sign and start typing. Then I would look and realize that I was not really typing in any field. Please make sure the Folder Name field is active when creating new folder. That was the user does not have to click in the field (the only field) to name it and move on.
