New Zap: create tasks on Kanbanery, Trello or other on Test Set creation
With new Zapier integration it would be great to add new trigger: when new Test Set is created it is send as a task to one of the boards like Kanbanery, Trello or other. Where to send can be based on List field in Test Set to allow flexibility.

Link an Issue automatically as a failed Status of a Requirement.
Edith said to me: With regards to the Requirement, the status will be Failed, but the Issue will not be linked automatically. You can link it manually. I agree with you that the Issue should be linked automatically and will happy if you can add it as a feature request here.

Ability to add a test case to a test set by writing the test number/range
As mentioned with the Ability to add a test case item, we tried filters; it’s cumbersome to have to shift gears and create a new filter every time that we want to look up / search for something new. It clutters things up as then there is the maintenance and scrolling to contend with as well.

Add support for internal links
Currently when you add link as attachment to test or step it is always prefixed with "http://". I would like to have option to add internal links to the server locations so not http connection. Can you please remove adding http protocol in attachments?

Need a duplicate test name warning
Need a warning when creating a test case if the name is already in use. This should be an option in settings, since I know some testers don't need this. However with my team, each name needs to be unique. So having a warning when we are duplicating a test name would be helpful.

Close test runs
I would like to have the possibility to close a test run so that we cannot change the results.

I would like to be able to sort test cases alphabetically when adding them to a test set.
My test cases are named based upon area of application. So when adding to the test set I am manually sorting through 50+ test cases per section which I need in chronological order for execution. The ability to sort test cases alphanumerically when adding so I can add them in order by section would be huge for me and my team.

Add ability to set called test parameters from the parent (or calling) script
The "Call steps from another test" feature works well for testing a matrix of parameter values. However it doesn't allow for passing in static, never changing values to called tests for the sole purpose of re-usable script steps and provide a single point of change (aka single point of maintenance).
For example:
* You have an portal based site which has several "apps" or sub-sites.
* When a user logs into the portal the get presented with a dashboard page with links to each of apps.Ideally the tester would be able to create a single login script that can…

Add "Tags" column to Test Library available columns
We are struggling with getting the result we are after using Search even with all the new filtering options available. We have tried filters and reports but they are all IS or IS NOT vs Contains. In a support chat, using Tags was recommended to us and we are trying it but we cannot display the "Tags" column to the Test Library view; it's not available. This would be incredibly helpful to us if this were added. Thank you.

Ability to add notes when you import steps from another test
This will enable you to add any additional notes to the steps ie. ignore one step that is not relevant.

Add / Delete multiple steps with a single click
PractiTest is rather click-heavy.
One way to reduce this would be to allow multiple steps to be added quickly. A data entry field before the Add Step link allowing the user to provide a number of steps to be added would be a simple fix. Default this to 1 and existing behaviour remains. If the user enters 23, then 23 new blank lines are added/inserted. This will facilitate faster/less disrupted test case writing. As the user may then over estimate the number of blank steps required, an option to Delete all blank steps would be a complimentary click reducing feature.

Allow automated test runs to be passed manually
Currently, if a test is marked as an automated test ("Automated" checkbox is checked on the test case) the status of the test run cannot be changed manually. At times a test will fail due to an issue with the automation script itself, so we get a false fail. At that point we will run the test manually, but then we are not able to fix the status in Practitest.

Add "Automation" checkbox to filters
It is not currently possible to filter test cases based on the "Automation" checkbox on the test case. Please add the ability to filter test cases by that element.

Set requirement filters when importing from Jira
Set requirement filters when importing from Jira
The ability to set filters on requirements when importing from Jira. Currently a new requirement/s can be imported from jira. The requirement/s join a large list of requirements until the user selects and completes a batch edit on the requirement/s to assign filters. Using filters in the requirement tree allows for quick location of all requirements relating to the filter. I propose that practi-test gives you the option to set the filters when importing. improve the import screen to provide a screen similar to the batch edit when importing allowing the user to…6 votes -
Generating Test Cases From Jira into Requirements
The ability to go into the 'Requirements' section in PractiTest and have an option to 'Generate From Jira'. This would grab an attachment (Excel, CSV etc) from the Jira ticket, import it into PractiTest, generate a test case from it and link it to the requirement
