  1. An example of this is a table of target release by severity of defects.
Some defects don't have a target release and thus on dashboards do not appear.

I would be good if the dashboard tables displayed all items that conforms to the filter and add a 'blanks' row or column to account for blank items.

  2. Tried downloading Practitest from Marketplace. Received a vague message saying there is a problem with the Partner and to reach out brings us to this board. This is an idea board and not helpful but I'll put it and have reached out to support via email.

  3. The aggregated report is very useful, but we would like the data to be presented in a different way - percentage for us is more important than actual numbers.

  4. First of all, I'd like to thank you, PractiTest team, for creating an option to generate an Instance tabular report for the specific Test set! This really made our work easier in many ways!

Secondly, is it possible to add the same functionality to another type of report - Instance Tabular with Steps? Sometimes we need to analyze the actual run steps in such report, so selecting between these two options would be ideal.

  5. As a test manager, I find myself skipping the passed steps of my team members' runs to get to the failed ones to investigate them.
If the test is long enough, this is both time consuming and also I can accidentally skip a step.

I think it would be nice to have a button , or keyboard shortcut, that will lead me to the first failed step.

  6. When I'm in the Test, I might decide immediately to add it to the Testset/create a new Testset with it.
Now I need to go back to Test library, select this Test, then click on "Create a Testset"/"Add to existing Testset" buttons.
This is too many clicks, I want to decide whether I want to run my test or not when I'm inside this test.

  7. Currently execution progress graph of Instances includes instances that have no runs at all.
Sometimes you need this graph to show only those instances that were executed.
I suggest some checkbox that can either remove or add such instances.

PS Removing instances under "No Run" status not helping, because some Runs can also be under this status

  8. When you run the test, the data about the test itself is not seen when you scroll down with the steps - neither the name of the test, nor the preconditions and the link where you can hover and see the info about test.

We should have a fixed header with all this info.

  9. We have many different filters - some of them are auto, some of them are not - and sometimes we need to do bulk update on them, for example, adding a parent filter to ALL of them, because we have a new criterion we need to take into consideration.

Sometimes we need to update dozens of filters manually, and it's quire cumbersome

Bulk update of filters' can be a very nice addition!

  10. For example, if I'd like one Filter to get out of the Parent filter. Or, on the contrary, to put a Filter under another one.
I know I can edit its setting, but it can be also nice if we could have such option in the view page itself - to drag and drop a filter to another place in hierarchy

  11. When browsing through tests, you may want to see the tags right away. You can either expand the field or change the UI to the correct Tags UI for better UX. This way you can delete and read through them easily. No need for manually typing and deleting the whole text which will have lots of room for error. This will be very helpful when you're going through hundreds of test cases.

  12. Because our project is split in multiple Gitlab repositories (Hardware, firmware, software), we have to split the Practitest in multiple project too in order to use the Gitlab issue integration. It would be great to be able to specify several Gitlab repository linked to specific field.

  13. When creating test cases, we usually use nested lists. Considering many limitations on that text area field in terms of format, I rely on the toggle preview to see how it will look like once I ran the test case. However, that is not the case. Can you please fix the formatting on lists there are like a hundred issues on that module alone. Then after that, make sure the Toggle Preview does its job.

  15. tl;dr: we would love being able to have Xbot tests with a Script Path of e.g. run_test.py $INSTANCE_ID, which then executes run_test.py on the target client with the actual ID of the instance that triggered the run as a commandline parameter.

To elaborate some more on our use case: we use PractiTest together with Xbot and Squish to automate running our BDD GUI tests on cloud VMs. However, we want to have per-step granularity in our logging of test results rather than just the pass/fail outcome determined by Xbot based on the exit code.

    Our solution to this is…

  16. There is a "Filters" page in the Project Settings section.
We'd like to have an option to select multiple filters from there in order to delete them in one go

  18. We link 'commenter' users to a requirement with this link (sans /edit/)

    https://prod.practitest.com/p/xxxx/requirements/xxxxx/

This provides a nice read-only view of the req. The problem is that the req title does not appear anywhere on the page, only the description and other fields.

Pls always display the requirement title on this page.

  19. Sometimes we fail many instance in our Test Set at once due to a serious bugs that affects them all.
Fast Run is a good option to Fail many instances in one go, but then we need to attach a link to existing bug to each of the runs created.

  20. Go to an existing filter e.g. all open issues - let's say there are 20 issues
In the fast filters, filter by Assigned to and see a subset of the results e.g. 8 issues

I now go through these with the person. So I open the first issue.
I want to use the Next feature (top right) to review the subset of 8 issues in turn and add comments.
However, it starts me at a midway position e.g. 5 of 20 rather than 1 of 8.
This seems to be the position of the issue in the all open issues…
