  1. Add the ability to add custom fields and modify columns for Test Instances Run History

    Right now, we only have:
    - "Run date"
    - "Status"
    - "Tester"

    whenever we look at the test run history for instances. It'd be neat to have the option to add custom fields so we can better track previous runs.

    For example: I want to be able to add "Commit hash" and "branch" to test instances run history so I can see the last GitHub commit that was tested.

  2. Make the 'Save & Close' option default per account

    At the moment the 'Save Changes' option is a default one, we would like to have the 'Save & Close' as default within our account. Can you add an option to enable this per account?

  3. Create possibility of adding "parameterized values"

    Create possibility of adding parameterized values to test cases or steps and generation of new cases from predefined csv lists with values for these parameters. FYI This feature exist in QAComplete :)

  4. Ability to Select Range by holding down Shift Key

    I would like the ability to select a range of Tests by holding down the shift key and selecting the first and last item. This would really improve my productivity when working with large numbers of tests.

  7. Implement a way to avoid duplicate tests in test sets

    I know the use case for adding a test more than once to a test set (for using parameters)

    However what I often do is

    Filter: V1.9

    Add 50 test cases
    Add some to a test set (not necessarily all)
    Add 10 more test cases
    Go to the test set to add some of these cases -- I'd like a checkbox to show ONLY tests that are NOT already in the test set

    Otherwise its really easy to create duplicate test instances in the test set when I just wanted to add the new ones in

  8. link requirement to requirement

    Ability to link a requirement to another. This can be another option in Traceability tab where we currently link tests and issues.

  9. Upload a screenshot simply by pasting it to the step screen / upload screen

    This will make this process more productive and easy.

    Same as you do in JIRA tickets - pasting a screenshot from clipboard within the create screen, automatically uploads it to the ticket.

  10. Extend Auto Filter to User Type of fields

    Auto Filter is a really interesting feature, but is today limited to the "List" type, and some other types may be usable for this, such as "User" Type
    I actually created a User Custom field (Reviewer) and it would be interesting to provide a filter to the different reviewers for their current list of review to do...

    It would be also interesting (but may be more complicated) to be able to generate Auto filter based on Cross Filter based on Auto filter...

    Again, we have a referent on the requirements, (User custom field), and we could create auto filter with…

  11. Add a way to search for comments made in actual results I want to be able to search for words in actual results section using search box

    I want to be able to search for comments that I put in a test in the actual results section using the search bar for instance if I put in the actual results that the login button was greyed out I want to be able to type in the search box login button was greyed out and have the search return the test(s) that include that verbiage within the test wherever it is written including the actual results section of the test(s)

  12. When creating a Run dashboard item, allow to select Instances/Testsets/Tests fields vfor axis

    Currently when we create dashboard item for Instances, we can select fields from Testsets, and Tests
    When we create the same item for Runs, only run fields appear. Can we also enable such thing for the Run dashboard items? Including the instance fields.

  13. Allow WYSIWG input - currently if you cut and paste requirments, test cases, etc, you get erroneous characters in the text.

    Allow the cut and paste of information from Word, Excel or any othe non-8 bit editior.

  14. Improve Jira Integration

    We think the following would improve the Jira integration tremendously if implemented:
    - In the auto generated issue description (when clicking fail & issue) include the expected result

    • Make linking existing issues less cumbersome. At the moment users need to:
      1) Add the ID
      2) Navigate to the issue
      3) Edit it with the pt_id
      4) refresh in the step
      This should all ideally done by PT (itself + the Jira plugin)

    • Full 2 way integration: add a tab in Jira that lists hyperlinks of all the linked PT tests (other tools such as QMetry do this)

  15. Create an option in the report center sector for generating a report with our companies logo as default at the right top corner

    So when i go to the Report Center that it will be possible to upload our logo in a report.

  17. Add defect search functionality to Add Existing Issue to Test flow

    When linking a defect to an executed (failed) test, you do not always remember the defect ID. This is an annoying way to currently link defects.
    On the link existing issue step, it would help greatly if we could bring up a list of all defects and be able to sort and search them by date/title/description.

  18. Add support for internal links

    Currently when you add link as attachment to test or step it is always prefixed with "http://". I would like to have option to add internal links to the server locations so not http connection. Can you please remove adding http protocol in attachments?

  19. Please make it possible to update a Run of after each step via the API, rather than just at the end.

    I have tests with many, many steps in them. Some of the steps take many minutes to complete. It would be very useful if I could update the execution status/results/attachments of particular steps via the API.

    Possibly via a PUT request to the appropriate step instance, or maybe to the Run instance.

  20. Generate Reports from "Test sets & Runs"

    Sometimes we need to create a fast report just for one Test and/or Test Set.

    Would be great allow the generation of a Report directly after the execution of the test, without a filter in order to select just one Test, or Test Set, adding a report action into the Test Instances options or similar.
