  1. Our company uses a variety of different Jira projects for everything from idea generation to corporate planning, in addition to software development. On Jira tickets unrelated to software dev, you can still see the "PractiTest" button, even though we have not integrated that project to PractiTest.

It would be great if this button was only displayed once the link was established in both Jira and PractiTest, so that our leadership team that's using Jira for other purposes doesn't get confused by it.

  6. Need better method to select the parent filter when creating a filter. Right now the entire filter tree(s) is shown as a dash-indented list, which requires quite a bit a scrolling to find the desired filter when the list is large.

  7. The ability to sort filters by column on the "All Filters" page.
For instance, we currently have 9 pages of filters on PractiTest project, so it's difficult to find specific filters or categories on that page.

  8. Example Use Case:
I'm a PractiTest Admin at my company. I want to Create
a new PractiTest project. However, I don't want to login to PractiTest UI.
Instead, I want to create the Project via cURL, or Postman, using Python/C#/Java, etc...

  9. If I have a required custom field for a requirement that field is still blank when I import the requirement. I'd expect it to force me to select/enter a value, if it is required.

PractiTest vendor suggested to raise here:

    Hello Narasimha,
Following my conversation with the Product Team.
The request to add a verification/error step in case of the Import Jira issue to Requirement is not a request for just an enhancement, but rather a request to change the current functionality.
If implemented, this change might affect many other customers, which do use the Jira integration with Mandatory fields…

  12. I'd like to have the option to select fields in items displayed at the dashboard.
Example, if i have custom field of priority/severity, i'd like to be able to add it to the items displayed at the dashboard item.
To be more specific, if i add an item with "Test" entity and "latest" item type, i'd like to see the test priority as well as the existing fields in the table

  14. Admins are the only ones allowed to add values but sometimes they are unavailable. Not every tester has admin rights. To react flexibly to changing requirements, testers should be able to create values.

  15. I'm missing the reference from Test Set to Test.
To see previous results of this Test, I have to go to the Test Library. A direct link would be more practical.
In the Test Instances list, there is a column Test:ID. When I go to the ID I want to jump to the Traceability tab of the Test.

  16. Currently we have to manually import the issue name and description and then Sync requirements and bug tracking issue.
A function that creates a new TestSet with the name and description fields imported from YouTrack or another bug tracker and then automatically linked to the Requirement would be great for productivity and streamlining!

  17. For instances where you are uploading new test cases, it may be beneficial to have the ability to reference existing test cases, without the need to repeat these steps in the upload process. This may improve the maintainability of the Test Library.

  18. Allow custom user fields to be able to read from an external file. This should allow testing to be driven by the user data and hopefully increase the flexibility of the PractiTest.
