  1. Very often when we are executing a test we would like to attach a screenshot. In many test tools it’s possible just to copy and paste from a sniping tool, but in practitest it seems to be necessary to save the screenshot as a file and then upload this file. This is pretty cumbersome. I suggest that you implement such a feature.

You can now paste directly to the attachments section on each step, as well as in the description fields in most areas in the system. You can also drag & drop to description fields any images and they will be embedded inside the text.

  2. We now have the ability to Create test sets from test library, but it'd be nice to have the ability to also add tests to existing test sets from the test library. Thanks!

  3. This would be used when trying to find something in a long list. For Ex: A user has a custom field called 'Team' which has a dropdown list. This field contains over 100 inputs. User would start typing 'User Exp...' and the feature would filter through all the options and present 'User Experience'. This feature can be seen on Jira. Without this feature a user has to scroll through each name to find the right option.

    Hi,

Kindly note that the autocomplete feature was added to list custom fields including Version system field. This option will be added to the Exploratory Testing module shortly as well.

    Thanks
    Christine

  4. enable an advance search, where we can set each field, whether it's a custom field or a system field.

  5. The combo box for multiple selection is too small so all the options are not visible and you have to scroll to search the appropriate option. This is annoying, especially when you want to select multiple options.

    Hi,

Kindly note that we changed the multi-list field appearance so that from now on there is the autocomplete option and all the values are displayed properly.

    Thanks
    Christine

  7. Currently there is no way to select multiple test instances in a set and mark them as passed/failed or blocked. We suggest adding this option to save time in case the tester know that several tests can be modified accordingly. This will save a lot of time and effort of clicking.

  8. During initial importing of test cases from another tool or project, batch edits are a very important tool. However, for some reason, tags are not available in batch edits. The tags field should be added.

    Hi,

Kindly note that from now on you can create Test Sets directly from the Test Library by selecting test cases and pressing ‘Create a TestSet’.

    Thanks for improving PractiTest.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  10. Add Test directly from a Requirement and link them for traceability at the same time. When we create our tests they are based on the content of particular requirements so it would provide a much faster way to develop test coverage and prevent from have to search to associate them together afterwards.

  13. When exporting a view, especially one of issues. The ability to sort by a particular column does not exist. This feature would give stakeholders the ability to generate reports. For example, export all open bugs sorted by priority.

    Hi,

Please note that from now on you can create Excel reports by using the new Reporting module with ability to select relevant fields to be displayed within them.

    Thanks
    Christine

  14. Currently I can import the requirements (eg: 1,2,3) and the tests (eg: 101, 102,103) but I cannot import the links between the two and need to link them manually. I'd like to be able to import the mappings by creating a csv file.
    eg:
    Req, Test
    1, 101
    2, 102
    3, 103

  16. We currently manage our requirements, tests, and bugs with PractiTest, but our automation is organized, managed, and run independently.

We'd like to have both on the same system.

  18. Add an alert when user is leaving a page without saving.
right now a user can change fields, and navigate to a different page without any system alert.

  19. Allow to make changes to the steps of a test while it is still running.

For example add or remove steps, or modify the any of the fields.

  20. Currently, by cloning a test, the
Author is copied from the original test.
This may cause confusion when users clone tests and modify them.
Setting the cloner as the Cloned Tests' Author will solve this issue.
