Add a "description" and "comment" fields for each "Tests set&run"
When preparing a "Test set", sometimes we need to give extra informations about the "Set" we prepare with other builders and testers.
It would provide us the ability to share informations such as the purpose of the "set" or any extra data needed to execute the test. And more, having a "comment" section in each "Set" would be helpful to share informations between testers and those who build the "Set".

add a "comment" field for each step on the "Steps" page for review.
When reviewing tests cases, it would be useful to have a field to comment a step when a tester is reviewing someone else tests cases. This way, he can add comments without modifying the test case. In case of misunderstanding if the specification, from the reviewer, author of the test case can update the reviewer and doesn't need to rewrite the test case.
83 votesWe are happy to announce that it is now possible to add comments for each step in a Scripted Test.

Ask before deleting a test.
Arg, I went to copy a test and accidentally deleted it instead. Confirm desire to delete a test before doing it. :'(

Cause the step box to expand so all text is visible.
Right now can just read the top line so have to scroll down inside to read it all.

Mass import multiple issues from Jira based on a specific Jira filter, project, status, etc...
Currently the only way to import issues from Jira (stories, bugs, tasks, etc...) is either one by one (or type multiple ticket numbers in the import field) or by exporting from Jira to a spreadsheet and importing. It would be nice to be able to import tickets by type, date range, status, specific jira filter, specific sprint, etc...
9 votesIf importing by Jira Filter is not sufficient, then please open a new User Voice.

11 votesHi,
Kindly note that from now on you are able to create a report of type ‘tabular with steps’ displaying tests with their steps from the specific filter by using the new Reporting module.
To access it, please go to Reports. Please note that the reports can be downloaded as Excel and data will reside in the second sheet.
Thanks and have a great week!

Add Traceability information to exports
Exporting data from Practitest to Excel is a powerful feature. But it the data that is exported is limited. In particular, the traceability information would be a very useful addition.

Rearranging projects
A user should be able to rearrange projects in the dropdown menu. When the user has more than 10-15 projects, it would be nice to at least have them in alphabetical order.

Using "Batch Edit" in the Issues List does not reflect actions in the history tab
In the issues list tick on any number of issues
Press "Batch Edit"
Change "Priority" to "High"
Change "Type" to "Task"
Change "Assigned To" to anyone
Add comments
Press "Update"Expected result: The changes will documented in the history tab in the issue's page
Actual result: No change is documented
1 voteHi,
From now and on you will have record for actions you made via Batch Edit in the History tab. ‘updated via batch edit’ will be written for changes were made via Batch Edit.

Can attach files heavier than 2MB
Opened "New Issue"
Inserted a title
Attached a 2.91MB fileExpected result: An error message would appear and the file would attach unsuccessfully
Actual result: The file attaches successfully
There seems to be a definition error, the definition says "* Up to 2MB per File Attachment" yet I successfully attached a 2.91 file as shown here:

Make reporting much more flexible in both the reporting area and dashboard.
I would like to be able to customise reports from both the library level and the Test Set level, choosing fields that I want to report on. I currently find that I often have to extract data from PractiTest into Excel and then format reports from Excel.
5 votesHi,
Thanks for your patience.
Please note that we have also added the ability to create dashboard graphs for Test Instances with taking values from Tests and Test Sets. Just select Test: or Test Set: when creating graphs.
Thanks,

Updating testcases using Batch Edit does not store change in History
Modify testcases using Batch Edit.and verify does it logged changes in History.Currently,it does log history at individual level not at batch level.I also would like to suggest,In History tab,it should display recent changes at first.currently it shows recent changes at bottom.

Add an alternative N/A (not applicable) into the screen for running test sets
It should be possible to set a particular test step to N/A. If this result is defined for that test step and the other test steps have status approve, then the complete test should get status passed. Now the tester has to set that single test step to either not run (which causes the complete test to have staus not completed) or delete the particular test step (to make the complete run to have status passed). Not any of these work arounds are satisfying for the Test Manager.
