Automatic filters when create/update fields
Filters are great! I use them a lot. I use fields too. It would be great if there would be possibility of creating or updating filters while creating/modifying fields. Ie. when you add new entry in field of List type you should have possibility of automatic filter based on that field update.
7 votesHi,
Kindly note that we have implemented Auto Filters that allow to create automatic filter trees according to List field values, find more information here:

Ask before deleting Custom Field
Custom Fields can store important stuff from past and present executions. Currently there is no confirmation when deleting them. If you missclick you may deleted not the field you want and loose data. Additional confirmation should be added to increase safety here.

Add a "description" and "comment" fields for each "Tests set&run"
When preparing a "Test set", sometimes we need to give extra informations about the "Set" we prepare with other builders and testers.
It would provide us the ability to share informations such as the purpose of the "set" or any extra data needed to execute the test. And more, having a "comment" section in each "Set" would be helpful to share informations between testers and those who build the "Set".

Mass import multiple issues from Jira based on a specific Jira filter, project, status, etc...
Currently the only way to import issues from Jira (stories, bugs, tasks, etc...) is either one by one (or type multiple ticket numbers in the import field) or by exporting from Jira to a spreadsheet and importing. It would be nice to be able to import tickets by type, date range, status, specific jira filter, specific sprint, etc...

Ability to edit values for custom/system fields in the Test Instant View
I would like to execute the test cases in a certain order. So I created a custom field: "Test Order". In the Test Instance view, the "Test Order" column is not editable.
Assume I have 100 test cases, I need to set the "Test Order" for each of them, I need to open each test case and enter the value. Which is a very tedious task. Appreciate if PT can implement this feature.
Thank You in advance!3 votesHi Vanaja,
Thanks for contacting us.
Kindly note that you can reorder tests within Test Sets by pressing the ‘Reorder Instances’ button at the bottom of the Test Instances grid.
Will it help?
Thanks

Notify assigned users when an admin deletes a test case from the PractiTest test library.
I need to delete a test case from our PractiTest test library. This test has been assigned to users so when I delete it, I expect it will be unassigned from the users and they will get a notification.
5 votesHi,
Kindly note that the deletion notifications are added to Personal Settings. Thus you will be always notified if someone deleted tests assigned to you.

Allow to set Instance custom fields values be inherited from their TestSet
I have a field "Product Area" that I set for the TestSet. In Dashboards reports though, I don't get much value from showing the Product Area by TestSet, I want to see it by Instance.
Having my testers to set this field again and again for every test instance is an unnecessary overhead.4 votesHi,
Kindly note that you don’t need to ask your testers to set this field for test instances anymore as we have added the ability to generate reports and dashboard graphs for Test Instances with taking fields’ values from Tests and Test Sets.
Just select Test: or TestSet: when creating reports and graphs.

Extend width of column on Requirements when adding from a Test script
Our Requirements all start with 'As a user I want to be able to...' and this is all that is shown as the column isnt wide enough to display the whole requirement. A hover over the requirement to display the full name would also resolve this issue.

Parameters - Extend to custom variables
Allow a test set to be created with test cases with custom variables set from parameters.
I want to create a test run/set that runs a single test case of different OSs or combinations of products. It is great to add the OSs and products as lists. Now I want to run all combinations.
Important - I want to be able to search my test runs by custom variables. When did we last run test N on OS X and products A-B?
1 voteHi,
Please use Test Set permutations in order to create Test Sets with different parameters and then you will be able to go to a specific test – its Traceability tab – to see when it was last run on specific parameters.
Please see a help page about the permutations below:
https://www.practitest.com/help/tests/test-set-permutations/Thanks

Set custom field order
Currently it looks like which ever custom filed is linked to an entity appears left most in tests in a test run. Allow custom fields to be ordered.
Why - I want to put important, or most used, fields to the left.
1 voteHi Robert,
Kindly note that you can re-order custom fields by going to Settings – Fields – Custom Fields Display Order Customization: – select relevant entity and set order you wish.
Thanks
Christine
