  3. Currently a linked list shows regardless of whether or not there is data available in that field currently. I suggest that unless the linked list has a parent chosen that populates that field, the linked list should be able to be hidden in the UI.

    Example:
There are 2 lists. List 1, the parent, has 3 available variables: a, b, and c.
List 2 is the linked list and has data available to be chosen for variable c.
If nothing, a, or b are chosen in List 1, List 2 should not show in the UI. If c is chosen…

    Hi Scott,

    Thanks for your feature request.

Kindly note that it is already possible to reorder test cases according to custom fields you have.

Could you specify according to what criteria you would like to re-order tests?

    Thanks and awaiting your reply.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  6. Sending results directly from the API right after an execution of a test ends would be useful to have more information about each test run.

Eg using selenium+python, you first create a junit xml report after the execution and then post it to PractiTest through the API request, so that you won't have to add it manually yourself.

    Hi Marialena,

    Thanks for posting your idea.

Did you try to use the ‘data/files/data’ parameter that enables to send attachments?

    Thanks
    Christine

  7. Have a report showing the users that have not logged in for a configurable amount of time.
For example, all users that have not logged in for the last 3 months.
    Thanks,
    P

    Hi Philippe,

    Thanks for your feature request.

At the moment we don’t have this option within the app but we can provide you with this information at your request.

    Thanks and awaiting your reply.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  8. When I import Requirements from Pivotal, we use that Integration, or I create a new test linked to a Requirement, it is pretty nice that I have the link to the requirement. But, when I click on the Requirement link, I got out of Practitest and redirected in the same tab, to the Requirement.
For a better User Experience, and it is a standard in Web Design, when you link to sites that are not under your system, they are opened in a new tab. I don't want to go out from my Test ticket in Practitest but I want…

    Hi Krzysztof,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Would you like to send a message regarding specific test, requirements or issue?

    Awaiting your reply.

  10. I would like to be able to save criteria/views, etc.s throughout the application. When I create a filter for projects I select the same criteria for each filter I create. I would like the ability to save it, so I do not have to select the fields each time. The same for the column views on instances and the fields selected for reports. This also would need to available across projects.

  11. Like dependent lists it would be good to have custom fields that only appear (are visible) if an item is selected in a list. This reduces the number of custom fields that the user needs to select.

For example, if the selection in a list is "other" make a text field visible to enter the custom whatever. Otherwise show a dependent list.

  12. I need to create calendar period reports for management. It would be very useful if we had Last Calendar Week, This Calendar Week, Last Calendar Month, This Calendar Month, This Year, Last Year, etc. as options for filtering. Currently, you need to do this as a range of dates each time.

  13. User should be able to edit any field that has a pencil when they click inside the text box. This is very helpful as we are working with Jira all the time.

  15. When adding test cases to test sets, the pop-up you have to select them in has no option to sort the listed test cases - which makes us very dependent on detailed filters or the list becomes hard to work with for us with +10 sub-pages to click between to find the right test case.
We suggest to enable sorting on the columns, so we can sort by name or ID.

  17. Say you have a mandatory field named 'Feature' in test cases. You might want to create a view named Features according to the value the Feature field has.
Currently you have to specify a view for each value of Feature.
Moreover, if you have a new feature, you have to add it manually to the filter.

  19. We discussed it with Joel during his visit in Cambridge, UK. It would be beneficial to see Test Description on Test Set Run view (above the steps). Test Descrption contains essential test information and having them visible on this screen would help to understand the context of the steps without need to click multiple times to see it. Hoovering in upper right corner shows that, however it is unreadable in some cases.

    Hi Kuba,

We would like to update you that we added a new System Field – “Pre Conditions”, which now available to use.
Although this is not exactly what you meant in your request, you should know that you can find this field above the first step of your test, so it can be useful for your purpose.
By the way, another option is to hover “Test in Test Library” while running and see all the values that given for entire fields, include the Test Description field.

    Hope this will be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Itai

  20. On Test Set view there is an option to assign to specific Tester. In order to do it you need to choose Tester and Save view. So if you want to run a test set you need to: 1. assign it to yourself 2. save 3. run. I think step 3 is not needed. Run Now could also save changes or at least Assigner.
