  1. is there a way to create a field for tests that is not shown on the screen when writing the test?
i want to use it for automation API to mark tests that are automated but prevent manual ppl from changing this field.

    Hi Joel,

    Thanks for your feature request.

At this time that’s not possible, but we will review it and keep you updated.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  2. For every test we r running there r a lot of fields we need to fill- build, version, detected by….
We need to fill them manually every time. It is very annoying.
My suggestion that it will work like in QC – the fields value should be saved until I will fill something else.
It can save a lot of time and energy.

  3. Currently I can import all issues/defects to PractiTest but the comment column can't be imported. This is really a hassle. Comments are really important to track the progress of a defect. Highly suggest that this feature be developed!!

    Thanks for your feature request!

We will review it and let you know.

    Best regards,

  4. Currently only account owner can export attachments. This doesn't make sense. The system should allow more types of users to export attachments.

    Hi Lucia,

Thanks for posting this feature request.

We will review it and get back to you.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  5. 1) Have the actual result default to the expected result when a user clicks Pass. Add a Pass All button so if the user can Pass the entire test in one click.
    2) When creating the filters instead of only a Save option have a Save and Add next option because now when you save it, you have to go back to settings and start again.
    3) ABility to copy filters across Requirements, Test Library, Test Sets, and Defects.

  6. When you add a new step to a Test Run, it's so easy to write out the Step, and then immediately click the outcome button. When you do this, everything that was typed was lost. Either make clicking the outcome button save any changes to a Step, or disable them so the user has to either accept the changes or discard them intentionally.

  7. With new Zapier integration it would be great to add new trigger: when new Test Set is created it is send as a task to one of the boards like Kanbanery, Trello or other. Where to send can be based on List field in Test Set to allow flexibility.

  8. By change defect status to fixed,
system auto reassign defect to defect owner.
Once defect claim to fix, defect return to defect owner responsibility.

  11. Can we have feature of having different expected results depending on chosen params? It would be very useful in cases where you have similar steps (driven by param) but different exepected results.

  13. Edith said to me: With regards to the Requirement, the status will be Failed, but the Issue will not be linked automatically. You can link it manually. I agree with you that the Issue should be linked automatically and will happy if you can add it as a feature request here.

  14. In Firefox browser I spotted following situation - when I click on link to attachment, PractiTest opens a file instead of call browser's dialog with option to choice - open or download a file.

  15. I spotted Practitest is the reason of huge memory usage in FF browser with Windows 7. Usage is gradually increasing, especially when I open it in few tabs. It is laggy as well, but only within tabs where I have Practitest.

After closing tabs with Practitest memory is not released.

    Hi,

From our checks on Firefox 56 PractiTest uses 7 -12MB which is modest. Did you do something specifically?

Also, could it be that you have Firefox add-on installed that consumes the memory?

Take also into account that once you close PractiTest tabs, it’s up to Firefox to clear all memory related, so it’s sounds like an error with Firefox or with one of the add-ons (the best check would be to disable all add-ons and retry). If it still happens, please let us know what you’re doing specifically in PractiTest so we can reproduce.

    Thanks and awaiting your reply.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  16. A test is added to the Test Library that contains parameter values. That test is added to a Test Set multiple times with a variation in the parameter value. Each parameter test is run multiple times, some pass, some may fail. The overall pass of the test set instance can be determined by the admin user with pass fail criteria (percentage based) with a specification on the required number of runs per test instance. Eg. If there is only 1 pass and 99 fails the overall parameter instance should not be pass when there is a 100% pass run requirement.…

  17. When I do permutations over TestSets in the upper part there is TestSet ID. Can it be changed to TestSet name? I often do permutations of many TestSets one after another and sometimes forget which TestSet I have now.

  19. As a user I would like to use the two way integration with the possibility of being able to add manually issues. Example: 2 teams will integrate with PractiTest and the 3rd will still add manually issues since they all work on the same project.
