  2. When opening a test instance, we see the issues linked to it but not the status. Status is visible only when clicking on "To view other instances of this test, click here" that will show up duplicate info.
Suggestion to see the status directly in the test instance page.

  4. I would like to execute the test cases in a certain order. So I created a custom field: "Test Order". In the Test Instance view, the "Test Order" column is not editable.
Assume I have 100 test cases, I need to set the "Test Order" for each of them, I need to open each test case and enter the value. Which is a very tedious task. Appreciate if PT can implement this feature.
    Thank You in advance!

    Hi Vanaja,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Kindly note that you can reorder tests within Test Sets by pressing the ‘Reorder Instances’ button at the bottom of the Test Instances grid.

    Will it help?

    Thanks
    Christine

  5. I have a field "Product Area" that I set for the TestSet. In Dashboards reports though, I don't get much value from showing the Product Area by TestSet, I want to see it by Instance.
Having my testers to set this field again and again for every test instance is an unnecessary overhead.

    Hi,

Kindly note that you don’t need to ask your testers to set this field for test instances anymore as we have added the ability to generate reports and dashboard graphs for Test Instances with taking fields’ values from Tests and Test Sets.

Just select Test: or TestSet: when creating reports and graphs.

    Thanks,
    Yaniv

  6. I need to delete a test case from our PractiTest test library. This test has been assigned to users so when I delete it, I expect it will be unassigned from the users and they will get a notification.

  7. Our Requirements all start with 'As a user I want to be able to...' and this is all that is shown as the column isnt wide enough to display the whole requirement. A hover over the requirement to display the full name would also resolve this issue.

  8. The ability to find a certain word/variable and replace all instances of it in one go. Should also have the ability to change some of the instances and not all (maybe you could skip to each instance similar to the find feature on Mac when in a window and you press Command + F and then use the arrows to skip to each instance)

  10. Allow a test set to be created with test cases with custom variables set from parameters.

I want to create a test run/set that runs a single test case of different OSs or combinations of products. It is great to add the OSs and products as lists. Now I want to run all combinations.

Important - I want to be able to search my test runs by custom variables. When did we last run test N on OS X and products A-B?

  11. Currently it looks like which ever custom filed is linked to an entity appears left most in tests in a test run. Allow custom fields to be ordered.

Why - I want to put important, or most used, fields to the left.

    Hi Robert,

Kindly note that you can re-order custom fields by going to Settings – Fields – Custom Fields Display Order Customization: – select relevant entity and set order you wish.

    Thanks
    Christine

  12. I want to add attachments to a step in the test run via the API. The attachment could be a screenshot or other helpful information.

This is already supported through the GUI but not the API.

    Hi Siva,

Kindly note that we already have the option to search by ID within Test Library, Requirements, Test Sets & Runs and Issues.

Please see the ‘Goto Test’ option next to the blue button called ‘+New Test’.

    Thanks
    Christine

  15. This would be used when trying to find something in a long list. For Ex: A user has a custom field called 'Team' which has a dropdown list. This field contains over 100 inputs. User would start typing 'User Exp...' and the feature would filter through all the options and present 'User Experience'. This feature can be seen on Jira. Without this feature a user has to scroll through each name to find the right option.

    Hi,

Kindly note that the autocomplete feature was added to list custom fields including Version system field. This option will be added to the Exploratory Testing module shortly as well.

    Thanks

    Hi Sandaru,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Probably there is a small misunderstanding here.

Kindly note that in case you would like to see steps of the test case residing in the Test Library, you need to enter it in the Test Library and go to its Steps tab.

In case you ran a test case and would like to see steps residing in a specific run, please enter the run itself.

In addition sending you screenshots by email.

    Best regards,
    Christine

  20. The REST API lets us create requirements with mappings to test ids. The typical use case is for requirements to be defined and then QA dev creates the associated test cases. The user interface allows the workflow, but the REST API does not.
